Tweet poetry project update

So far we at poetandgeek have called the shots with tweet poetry seen here but we would like to make a call for original tweet poetry to add to our site.

This is what you have to do.
  1. Tweet your tweet poetry
  2. Screen shot it.
  3. Crop it (we don't want your whole screen);
    under 100KB is good.
  4. Send to us.
  5. If we like it, we'll post it.

Over to you...

More about tweet poetry here http://poetandgeek.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/three-rules-of-tweet-poetry.html.

The Griffin poetry prize shortlist 2012

This is the world’s largest prize for a first edition single collection of poetry written in English. The mouth-watering international and Canadian shortlist includes David Harsent, Jan Zwicky, Yusef Komunyakaaour and Sean O'Brien.

It aims to:
  • spark the public’s imagination
  • and raise awareness of the crucial role poetry plays in our cultural life.
Sounds good to us.

Here's Jan Zwicky's nominated book Forge - you may have to hunt around for it if you don't live in North America (and even there) but well worth the effort.
